Hi there, I’m Rachel.

I am a counsellor based in Singapore. I support adults , adolescents and couples going through challenges related to depression, anxiety, relationship issues and stress. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally and take pride in creating an affirming and inclusive space for all clients. As someone with ADHD myself, my practice is neurodiversity-affirming and I will prioritise your autonomy, needs and strengths as we journey together.

I believe in building a collaborative relationship with my clients and focusing on their strengths to help them thrive. My empathetic approach is deeply affirming and I empower clients towards taking tangible, impactful steps to lead the lives they want to live.

I use approaches like Emotion-focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, the Gottman Method and Schema Therapy, and I enjoy supporting clients to uncover their values, needs, strengths and goals. I am familiar with tools like the Enneagram and Strengthsfinder.

I believe deeply in the mind-body connection, and incorporate polyvagal theory and nervous system science into my work with clients. My practice is trauma-informed, integrating both top-down and bottom-up approaches to support healing, safety and emotional regulation.

I currently also coach and train leaders across the globe in my capacity as Head of Talent Development at a multinational organisation. In my free time, you’ll find me baking up a storm, on an adventure outdoors or just hanging out with my husband and two senior dogs.

Why kintsugi?

Because the process of doing the inner work includes accepting our imperfections and healing in our own unique ways.

Counselling Approaches

I use a blend of different approaches, therapies and strategies to support my clients, based on their challenges and preferences.

  • Empowers individuals to embrace their emotions, thoughts, and experiences, while guiding them to commit to actions aligned with their values, fostering resilience and meaningful change.

  • Enables individuals to transform their lives by identifying and modifying negative thought patterns and behaviors, leading to lasting positive outcomes and improved mental well-being.

  • Helps individuals and couples understand and transform their emotional responses to create stronger, more secure bonds.

  • Focuses on enhancing relationship dynamics through empirical research-based interventions aimed at improving communication, understanding, and conflict resolution skills between couples.em description

  • Body-based approach that helps individuals process and heal from trauma by gently exploring how thebody holds emotional experiences, using mindfulness and movement to restore a sense of safety and connection.

  • Encourages individuals to focus on their strengths, goals, and solutions rather than dwelling on problems, promoting rapid and effective positive change through targeted interventions.

  • Addresses deep-seated negative patterns or "schemas" formed in early life, providing a comprehensive approach that combines cognitive, behavioral, and experiential techniques to promote lasting emotional and behavioral change.

  • Focused on helping individuals cultivate their strengths, foster resilience, and enhance well-being by focusing on the positive aspects of life, leading to greater happiness and fulfillment.
